HOW TO BEGIN

Welcome! Your Yoga practice is about to begin. You have just taken the very first step to becoming a stronger and healthier person. Whether you are new to Yoga, returning to your practice after a hiatus, or a seasoned student, we offer alignment based classes which teach you the fundamentals that will become the very foundation of your practice.

Our Brand New Beginners Course is an excellent way to ease yourself into Yoga and personalize your practice. This month-long series of eight progressive classes teaches the very basics of breathing techniques, followed by standing series poses, and finally floor series poses. Each posture is demonstrated by your instructor and is followed by a question and answer period. This creates an understanding of why and how these basic poses are helpful and healthful to you. The focus of this class is to discover how YOUR body moves. No two bodies are the same and we all have different strengths and weaknesses. Using principles of alignment, together, we will find your particular expression of each posture. The first class begins with low heat and is slowly increased as the course progresses. Once you have completed this course, you will not only feel better you will have the confidence to begin our regular group class.

Another option for the new student is our one hour Hot Yoga class. This class is beginner friendly, yet all levels are welcome. In this class you will learn the Hot Yoga Sequence – thirty-five stationary poses. This is also an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the postures and acclimate to the heat.
